Ultimately, this new development provides a gateway for Moldex3D users to further analyze structural designs for durability, NVH and impact conditions.
PreSys™ Version R2, which is now available at www.eta.com, was developed to interface directly with Moldex3D. This new release allows the user to import and edit existing Moldex3D models; to quickly create complete Moldex3D shell models; then export the models for analysis. Users can then reuse the model data for LS-DYNA®, a dynamic non-linear finite element solver through PreSys™. With these new tools, a higher level of product design competence can be achieved through the analysis of higher level simulations including drop and impact.
By accessing Moldex3D through the user-friendly PreSys™ interface, the model creation process can be automated and streamlined for greater efficiency. PreSys™ offers many flexible and intuitive functions for quickly creating Moldex3D models and editing the designs. The tools offered within PreSys™ include advanced surface handling, automated part thickness mapping functions, as well as runner definition.
